The pilot who reportedly put passengers at risk during an incident aboard a Flydubai aircraft flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv was an Omani citizen, while the aircraft commander was a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, Israeli media reports.
According to the report, previous reports that the pilots were citizens of Russia and Ukraine have not been confirmed.
Flydubai flight FZ1073 was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, following a physical altercation between the pilots during the flight and landed there safely.
According to Reuters, the aircraft made a sharp descent of approximately 4.3 km within a short period during the flight and transmitted emergency signals.
