Japan's Coast Guard will add two more drones to its fleet of SeaGuardian unmanned aerial vehicles, APA reports citing Nikkei Asia.

The new addition brings to three the number of drones that will monitor potentially malicious activities in Japanese waters, the news detailed. Built by US defense contractor General Atomics, the SeaGuardian can fly for up to 35 hours, and it will be able to operate around the perimeter of Japan's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and back.

The multiple cameras on the drone can broadcast data in real-time. It will also be able to gather information in catastrophe and rescue missions.
