If HAMAS remains in power, it will continue to target Israel, said Tzipi Livni, former Foreign Minister of Israel, during the panel discussion titled "Path to Peace" at the XII Global Baku Forum, APA reports.
She noted that HAMAS is in power and opposes a two-state solution: "HAMAS should have adhered to very simple principles: to stop the violence and attacks on Israel. Instead, HAMAS made a decision on behalf of the Palestinians and attacked Israel."
Tzipi Livni emphasized that HAMAS should not remain in power: "If HAMAS stays in power and strengthens itself, it will continue to receive aid and pursue its violent activities, targeting Israel."
