Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not rule out the possibility that radicals from the Palestinian Hamas movement will be granted amnesty after the fighting in the Gaza Strip ends, APA reports citing Fox News.
Asked about this in an interview with Fox News, he emphasized that the issue is being discussed but requires further work.
"I think the details of this still need to be worked out. But in previous statements, I said that if Hamas leaders, for example, are escorted out of the country, yes, if they stop the war and release all the hostages, we will release them," he noted.
According to Netanyahu, this issue is currently being discussed. "I've spoken about this before, but it needs to be worked out. I think all of this is part of the plan. I won't get ahead of myself, but we are discussing it right now," the prime minister added.
