Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Vusal Khalilov held a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijan Fintech Association, APA-Economics reports, citing the CBA.
During the meeting, the results achieved in the field of financial technologies and payments in the second quarter of 2026, as well as the key trends emerging in the ecosystem and future development directions, were discussed. In addition, the focus was on the implementation of a comprehensive regulatory framework covering crypto-assets and the activities of crypto-asset service providers, as well as work to be carried out toward the preparation of relevant regulatory acts in this field.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the key strategic targets set for the sector in the next stage, as well as initiatives aimed at improving supervisory tools to prevent fraud and illegal transactions.
