Two people (male) injured in an explosion in the Khojavend region were hospitalized at 6:30 p.m on 12.08.2026, informed by TABIB in response to APA's inquiry.
It was reported that one of them, born in 1989, was diagnosed with open wounds in various areas of the face and eyes, and the other, born in 2003, was diagnosed with abrasions in the abdomen.
After providing the patients with necessary medical assistance, they were discharged home for outpatient treatment.

A mine explosion occurred today in the territory of Gizilgaya village of the liberated Khojavand district, the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told in a statement, APA reports.
According to the information, a bulldozer driven by Elchin Telman Abbasov, a resident of Gazakh district born in 1961, hit a mine in an area that had not been cleared of mines. During the incident, Sanan Sohrab Farajov, a resident of Tovuz district born in 1989, and Fuad Ilgar Ahmadov, a resident of Tovuz district born in 2003, were injured.
The Khojavand District Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office once again called on citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine danger signs, not touch suspicious objects, not enter unfamiliar areas, and not interfere with areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
