At least 265 people have died as a result of the earthquake in Colombia, and the number of missing has risen to 496, according to President Abelardo de la Espriella, APA reports.
"Unfortunately, 265 people have died, 3,494 have been injured, and the number of missing has risen alarmingly to 496," he said, presenting the latest figures.
The head of state also reported that the earthquake destroyed 11,347 homes, damaged 53,526, and collapsed 140 buildings. Structural damage was sustained at 179 medical facilities.
