Iran's Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf hit out at United States President Donald Trump for pressuring Tehran to participate in the second round of peace talks. Ghalibaf,Iran's top negotiator, who led the delegation in the first round of talks with Washington, said that Iran would not accept negotiations under the "shadow of threat," Times Now News reports.
He accused Trump of warmongering and even warned him of "new cards" on the battlefield.
"Trump, by imposing a siege and violating the ceasefire, seeks to turn this negotiating table—in his own imagination—into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering," the Iranian parliament speaker wrote on his X account.
"We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats, and in the past two weeks, we have prepared to reveal new cards on the battlefield," he added.
