The issue of whether the Iranian army fired at vessels belonging to India is being investigated, said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei at today’s briefing, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
He noted that all structures of the country are monitoring every process with full vigilance.
Responding to a question about extending the ceasefire, the MFA spokesperson said that Iran does not accept any deadlines or ultimatums regarding ensuring national interests: “We did not start this war. After the enemy’s attack, we acted to defend the country and have declared that we will continue defense as long as Iran’s interests require it.”
He emphasized that if the United States and Israel take new steps, the Iranian Armed Forces are ready to respond with all available means.
