A court in Israel has agreed to postpone the testimony of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite objections from prosecutors, citing security and political considerations.
According to reports by Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, the court accepted a request to cancel Netanyahu’s scheduled testimony for this week.
As a result, another witness will testify in his place, while a hearing planned for Tuesday has been fully cancelled.
Netanyahu is currently facing corruption charges in three separate cases, known as “Case 1000”, “Case 2000” and “Case 4000”, involving allegations of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
