Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. International Amnesty Organization appealed to the world community urging to support the release of Abbas Lisani, an activist for the rights of the Iranian Azerbaijanis, APA reports. The statement released by the organization says that the court decision on Lisani was unjust and he was illegally isolated from his family.
“Abbas Lisani was transferred to Yezd jail, which is situated 2000km far from his native city and where felons are held. His wife Rugeyya Alizade was threatened several times by Iranian law-enforcement bodies. In order to make his family’s financial position worse his shop in Erdebil was also closed,†the statement says.
