Senior officials who gathered in the residence of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe today refused their authorities officially. Voting will be held today in Japan Parliament for electing new Prime Minister and establishing government. Liberal-Democratic Party’s new leader, Yasuo Fukuda nominated himself. His closest competitor is Ichiro Ozawa, the leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Japan. Communist Party, Socio-Democratic party and People’s New Party stated they will support leader of opposition Democratic Party Ichiro Ozawa. Though weaker Upper House supports opposition leader, Lower House will make a final decision.
Candidate of the LDP Yasuo Fukuda will publicize composition of the new government today. He told the journalists that there were not great changes in government. /APA/
