Hamas PM to visit Egypt Thursday

Baku-APA. Ismail Haneya, prime minister of the Hamas ruler in the Gaza Strip, will travel to Egypt Thursday to discuss security issues and the closure of the Gaza Strip, a Hamas spokesman said Tuesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Haneya will hold talks with Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil, said Taher Al-Nounou in a brief statement.
A source from Hamas said the talks will focus on boosting security cooperation regarding investigations into the Aug. 5 deadly attack in Sinai, in which 16 Egyptian soldiers were killed.
According to the source, Haneya will also ask Egypt to resume and facilitate the transferring of Qatar-donated fuel to Gaza’s power plant. The shipments had stopped since the attack.
