Baku-APA. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed Monday his government will not disassociate itself from the turmoil in Syria if there are attempts by the Syrian leadership to ignite the situation in Lebanon, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Mikati said during a press conference Monday "We should reorganize the relations between Syria and Lebanon calmly and in a comprehensive way."

The prime minister’s remarks came against a backdrop of the arrest of Lebanon’s former minister Michel Samaha, who was charged with forming a group with Syrian security chief Maj. Gen. Ali Mamlouk to commit terrorist acts in Lebanon.
