Baku-APA. The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on Friday slammed the Israeli government for not condemning its foreign minister’s hostile statements against Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"The Israeli government didn’t seriously deal with Avigdor Lieberman and his ongoing aggressive statements against President Abbas, which means its acquiesce to it," said Abbas’ aide Nemmer Hammad in an official statement.

The statement carried by the Palestinian state-run news agency Wafa said that the Palestinian leadership "is seriously considering Lieberman’s threats."

On Thursday night, Israeli Channel 10 reported that Lieberman called for locking Abbas in his office in Ramallah and besieging him as soon as he comes back from Iran, where he is attending the Non-Aligned Movement summit.

Lieberman called on the international quartet, which comprises the United States, the United Nations, Russia and Europe, to replace Abbas "because he is an obstacle for peace," and called for cutting the tax revenues due to be transferred to the PNA.
