Baku-APA. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Tehran Wednesday for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit slated for Aug. 30-31, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Palestinian Ambassador to Tehran Salah Zawawi told Xinhua in an interview Wednesday that the Palestinians are hoping to achieve major support from members of the NAM to help the Palestinians’ bid for UN membership.
On the sidelines of the two-day ministerial level meeting of the 16th NAM summit, Zawawi told Xinhua that "We hope to achieve big support from different member states, and we hope the final statement will be very useful for us."
