APA reports that if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, some Arab countries, which are main oil producers of the world, may face food and water deficiency problems.

The Strait of Hormuz plays more important role for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar from point of view of water and food supply. These countries provide the 90% of their food provision, including rice and grain, through the Strait of Hormuz.

If Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, Arab countries, which will face food and water deficiency problems in a short period, started making efforts to find supply lines and invested billions dollars in this direction.
