According to APA, Iranian Al-Alem reported that Head of Syrian National Security Council Hisham Bekhtyar was wounded in the blast. Official statement on it has not been announced yet.
Syria’s Defense Minister General Daoud Rajha was killed and Deputy Defense Minister (brother-in-law of President Bashar al-Assad) and Interior Minister Were wounded. The security source told Reuters Shawkat died in a Damascus hospital where he was taken after the attack. It was reported that 15 more people were wounded as a result of terrorist act. The Syrian officials report that the state of the wounded Interior Minister is normal. Syrian Liberation Army and Liva al-Islam organization took responsibility for the terrorist.
