Indian army arrests Pakistani soldier near LoC in Indian-controlled Kashmir

Baku-APA. Indian army Thursday arrested a Pakistani soldier near line-of-control ( LoC) in Indian-controlled Kashmir, officials said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The soldier was arrested in Kern sector of frontier Poonch district close to LoC, around 180 km southwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

"A Pakistani soldier was arrested early this morning near LoC in Poonch," said an army officer, "The soldier has been detained and is being questioned."

Officials said the soldier namely Arif Ali belongs to the Frontier Force of Pakistani army."The soldier was unarmed," said the officer.

"Two mobile phone sim cards and some Pakistani currency have been recovered from his possession."

The LoC is a de-facto border, which divides Kashmir into Indian and Pakistani controlled parts.
