Jordan government wins vote of confidence

Baku-APA. Jordan’s Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh ’s government has won a vote of confidence from the parliament, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

Officials said on Thursday that 89 members of the parliament voted for Khasawneh’s government, while 25 voted against it, three abstained and two MPs were absent.

After the results, Khasawneh pledged to implement the government’s agenda in the next stage, saying that his government would exert its utmost efforts to realise the aspirations of the Jordanians.

The prime minister also stressed the importance of cooperation with the Lower House in future.
