Baku – APA. Witnesses have identified at least six suspects in connection with deadly bombings during an Ashura ceremony in Pakistan’s financial hub of Karachi last Monday, reported by presstv.com

Pakistani police arrested ten suspects allegedly involved in the Karachi carnage during a raid on a house located in Shah Faisal Colony in eastern Karachi, a Press TV correspondent reported late on Wednesday.

At least 43 people were killed and 80 others injured in last Sunday’s attack on an Ashura procession in Karachi.

After initial investigations, Karachi police released four of the suspects, but detained the remaining six for further interrogation.

The six were presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court, where they were identified by the witnesses of the attack.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday five militants were killed when their explosive laden vehicle went off unexpectedly in Kurram tribal region of northwestern Pakistan.

Pakistani security forces claimed that more than 50 militants have been killed and 60 others imprisoned in operations in central Kurram during the last two months.
