Baku. Ibad Bagirov – APA. “Turkey-Syria relations are of great importance for both countries,†Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists, APA reports.
“We discussed cooperation in political, economic, military and commercial spheres. The cooperation is developing in a number spheres, but we consider that this is not enough. We can improve these relations more,†he said.
Erdogan said he will visit Syria with a large delegation on December 23.
“Turkey is a door for Syria to the West and Syria is an important door for Turkey to gain access to the Arab world,†he said.
Erdogan also underlined the importance of extending energy cooperation between the two countries. He said the solemn opening ceremony of Halep-Gaziantep railway will be held soon.
