Kim Jong Il pardons American journalists for Bill Clinton’s sake

Baku – APA. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s first diplomatic effort was successful. APA reports that ex-president achieved the release of two American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who were sentenced to 12 years of hard labor in North Korea.
Bill Clinton met with President of North Korea Kim Jong Il. As a result of the meeting, Current TV reporters Laura Ling and Euna Lee were released. Ex-president left Pyongyang for the United States together with the journalists.
KCNA agency of North Korea reported that Clinton expressed words of sincere apology to Kim Jong Il for the hostile acts committed by the two American journalists against the DPRK after illegally intruding into it. However, the U.S. administration official said he knew nothing about an apology.
