Iranian state-run radio says stability restored in the country

Tehran – APA. Iranian state-run radio reported about the ending of unrests in the country. On Monday, it has been calmest day in Tehran since June 12, the radio said, APA reports. There was shooting last night in the northern part of Tehran dominated by the supporters of reformist presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi and patrol helicopters were seen in the air. Despite Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s calling for calmness, 10-13 people were reportedly killed and 450 arrested during the clashes between police and demonstrators. According to some sources, Mir Hossein Mousavi’s daughter was also among the arrested protesters. Mousavi said on Saturday that the government was responsible for the unrests and called on his supporters to show loyalty.
