The Vagif Poetry Days organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture in Azerbaijan’s Shusha have ended, the Ministry of Culture told APA.
It was reported that the poetry festival was concluded on July 19 with an artistic and musical performance called "Journey with Vagif" organized in front of Khurshidbanu Natevan's house.
The artistic and musical stage work prepared with great professionalism was greeted with applause by the audience.
After the performance, commemorative photos were taken.
With this, the Vaqif Poetry Days, organized for the fourth time in Azerbaijan’s cultural capital, liberated Shusha, entered history.
Note that on January 14, 1982, in Shusha, with the participation of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, a grand opening ceremony of the mausoleum of the great poet and statesman Molla Panah Vagif (1717–1797) and the Poetry House took place. It was during this event that Heydar Aliyev issued instructions for the organization of Vagif Poetry Days by supporting the initiative of Azerbaijan's literary figures. The holiday of literature and arts was first organized in July 1982.
With a history spanning 42 years, Vagif Poetry Days are now being held for the fourth time in liberated Shusha.
