The 9th meeting of State Theater Directors of TURKSOY member countries was held in Shusha, APA's correspondent assigned to Shusha reports.
The meeting took place in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the declaration of Shusha as the 'Cultural Capital of the Turkic World' for the year 2023, as well as in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Azerbaijani professional national theater and the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY
A tour to the city of Shusha was first organized for the guests and media representatives who arrived in Shusha to attend the meeting.
Then the main part of the meeting started. The meeting brought together theater directors, experts, and cultural figures from TURKSOY member countries. They discuss issues of theater development in brotherly countries.
During the discussions, the necessity of establishing collaborations in the theater sector between the countries was emphasized.
After the discussions concluded, the parties signed the final declaration of the meeting.
Note that the opening ceremony of the International TURKSOY Theater Festival will be held in Baku tomorrow.
The festival will run until November 4
