Actors of Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater to participate in International Operetta Festival in Odessa

Actors of Azerbaijan State Musical Comedy Theater will participate in the International Operetta Festival in Odessa in April, 2008, director of the theater Elkhan Ojagov told APA. He said that the theater will be represented in the festival for the first time and the actors who will participate in the festival have been determined. The theater team has also been invited to the International Theater festival in Paris. Ojagov noted that Musical Comedy Theater will cooperate with the theaters of Odessa, Novosibirsk and Georgia and Azerbaijani actors will perform along with actors of these theatres.
â€œCooperation will be bilateral. Actors of Odessa Theater will arrive in Baku and our actors will leave for Odessa in April. Musical Comedy Theater will implement a joint project along with the US embassy next year. A producer will be invited from the US in the framework of the project and stage a musical. The musical is also planned to be demonstrated in the US,â€ he said. /APA/
