Professor Arif Mammadov, officer of Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told APA’s Karabakh bureau that the skeleton belongs to a 30-35-year-old woman and the scars on her brain proves that she underwent brain operation.
The scientist said that a skull was also discovered in Efetli village of Aghdam in 1971, which is the evidence of trepanation, into which a hole was drilled.
“It shows that operations were performed with stone and bone tools in Azerbaijan 7000 years ago. Such facts were twice met during historical investigations. Both facts were discovered in the territory of Aghdam. Other four home appliances found in grave are related to four elements Zoroastrianism - fire, water, air and earth,” he said. /APA/
