Alim Gasimov: I think over giving up the stage every day

- In what age Alim Gasimov feels himself?
- It is connected with my mood, day I am living. It depends on what time I wake up, how I sleep. Not ages, but days make difference at present. I donâ€™t know my age even today.
- Do you expect â€œGloryâ€ order for your 50th anniversary?
- I do not expect anything from state, as I have done nothing. I only want my pray to become true. I have thought about glory in my youth, but I want deep at present not to go high. If it depended on me, I would go to the bottom. There is no exact place for the human being in the life. It is not time to expect something from somebody in 50th age. I wish to live the end of my life not expecting anything from somebody.
- Can your age weaken your activity?
- I will try not to let people down. I am preparing great projects. I want to organize solemn concert in Azerbaijan till my 51st age.
- Are you satisfied with peopleâ€™s attention towards Mugam?
- Mugam is being propagated today. Justice will win sooner or later. Doors will be opened for talented youth. Doors have been opened for the talents at present, they are developing.
- Does any of your grandchildren want to be the master of Mugam?
- I have five grandchildren, but I can not say which one of them will be the master of Mugam. I would be happy if they wanted to master this. I would be happy if not only my grandchildren, but any youth of Azerbaijan master this profession.
-Do you still think of creating of Mugam School?
-Yes, I do. Actually my performance on the stage is a school itself. I will create Mugham School too. The building to be used for it is repaired. I can not say exactly when the innovation will be over but it probably will be a center. I will tutor in this center.
-Have you ever thought to give up?
-Sure I have, and I still do. I am thinking of it every single minute. I would be a listener if gave up. Be honestly, if I am still able to do something I have to do it. That is why I am still working, otherwise I would give it up. I can not quit the stage to rest. Whenever I got in trouble I told myself â€œI wish I could pull them troughâ€ and then I will quit the stage. But a man becomes more responsible as he becomes more popular. Sometimes I get so worried for five-minute performance and then think that it was not worth my trouble. But the same things happen over and over. It does not depend on me.
-What projects are you working on now?
-I will visit France on August 16-25. We will make Leyli and Mejnun project there. I will play the main parts with my daughter Fargane throughout 30 minutes. My next visit will be to the US. I will give about 15 concerts in the US.
-Who will you mark your birthday tomorrow with?
-I will mark it with my family, my friends, and familiar ones. My anniversary is expected to be marked at the state level. The event will be held in September.
-You will be 50 years old tomorrow. What do you wish yourself?
-I wish myself cleverness, justice, harmless and happy life./APA/
