Book â€œProtector of our culture and cultural pearlsâ€ presented

The author and head of the project is Lala Kazimova, scientific editor Sevda Mammadaliyeva.
The book covers multisided activity of President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Foundation of Azerbaijani Cultureâ€™s Friends, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, Parliamentarian Mehriban Aliyeva in cultural sphere.
The events of Foundation of Azerbaijani Cultureâ€™s Friends, events of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, joint projects of the foundations, Mehriban Aliyevaâ€™s activities in UNESCO, articles and materials about Mehriban Aliyeva, her interviews and visits to the worldâ€™s cultural places are reflected in the book.
The book has been complied on the basis of the materials covering 1995-2007.
The book has also an electronic variant.
Video clip about Mehriban Aliyevaâ€™s multisided activity in the cultural sphere was demonstrated at the beginning of the event.
Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev made a keynote speech at the event.
Secretary of Writersâ€™ Union Chingiz Abdullayev, rector of National Conservatoire, Sayavush Karimi, chairman of Artistsâ€™ Union Farhad Badalbayli, chief of State Committee on Family, Women and Childrenâ€™s Issues Hijran Huseynova, director of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Architecture and Art Institute, academician Rasim Efendiyev made speeches.
The presentation ceremony ended with a concert program. The book will be distributed to the libraries.
The book is planned to be translated into Russian and English. /APA/
