Paris hosts 1st session of conference of Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions

1st session of the conference of participant states on Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions was held in UNESCO Headquarters in French capital Paris on June 18-19, Culture and Tourism Ministryâ€™s press service told the APA.
Except participant states, observant countries and international NGOs attended the event, and Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Sevda Mammadaliyeva led Azerbaijani delegation at the event. Election was held for Intergovernmental Committee for Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions on June 19. 24 out of 62 states ratified the convention have been elected the members of this Committee. The activity of Intergovernmental Foundation for Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions was debated last day of the meeting and several participants announced the sum of their contribution to the Foundation. /APA/
