Bulbulâ€™s 110th anniversary marked

The 110th anniversary of Bulbul, founder of vocal Azerbaijani school was held today, APA reports.
State and cultural figures first visited Bulbulâ€™s grave in Honor Alley. Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Efendiyev, Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev, Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade and others attended the commemorative event.
Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Efendiyev spoke about Bulbulâ€™s role in the history of Azerbaijan culture.
â€œThough years passed, Bulbul is still remembered,â€ he said.
Culture and tourism minister Abulfas Garayev said that Bulbulâ€™s 110th anniversary will be marked on December 7 in Academic Opera and Ballet Theater according o the presidentâ€™s executive order.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu said he arrived in Baku to attend the commemorative event and expressed his gratitude to the participants for remembering his father. The event continued in Bulbul Fund. /APA/
