Azerbaijani Composersâ€™ Union elects secretaries

The newly-elected managing staff of Azerbaijani Composersâ€™ Union today held a meeting, the union told the APA.
The secretaries of the union were elected at the meeting. The post of the first secretary of the union was abolished. Three secretaries were elected to the composersâ€™ union. They are Ramiz Zohrabov, Eldar Mansurov and Agshin Alizade.
Firengiz Alizade won the elections to the chairmanship of Azerbaijani Composersâ€™ Union.
21-member managing staff is composed of Arif Malikov, Khayyam Mirzazade, Agshin Alizade, Eldar Mansurov, Ogtay Zulfugarov, Ramiz Zohrabov, Lale Huseynova, Sevda Ibrahimova, Rana Mammadova, Zemfira Safarova, Zemfira Gafarova, Gulnaz Abdullayeva, Azer Dadashov, Aydin Azimov, Rahila Hasanova, Arzu Mammadova, Rauf Aliyev, Serdar Farajov, Elnare Dadasova and Ramiz Mirzayev.
Azerbaijani Composersâ€™ Union was set up as a department of USSR Composersâ€™ Union in 1934. The union held 7 congresses during this period. Uzeyir Hajibayov, Gara Garayev, Said Rustamov, Sultan Hajibayov, Rauf Hajiyev, Agshin Alizade, Tofig Guliyev, Vasif Adigozalov chaired the union. /APA/
