Baku-APA US Secretary of State John Kerry has held talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for the second time in two days in Amman, Jordan, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

US, Israeli and Palestinian officials have all declined to disclose details of the talks on Saturday. When asked whether progress was being made, Kerry’s only reply was that all sides were "Working hard." The top US diplomat has been shuttling between meetings in Jerusalem and Amman, looking to coax both sides back into peace negotiations.

On Friday, Kerry met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and had dinner with Israeli President Shimon Peres. He then boarded a helicopter to Amman Saturday morning.

Later in the day, he is expected to return to Jerusalem and meet again with Netanyahu in the evening. Kerry is scheduled to leave Jerusalem on Sunday. He will head to Brunei to attend a Southeast Asia security conference.
