Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has received Armenia Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

APA reports quoting U.S. Department of State that the sides discussed development prospects of relations between the two countries and a number of regional issues, including the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

John Kerry said that Armenia today is an important partner with United States in a number of initiatives: “Massachusetts is home to one of the largest populations of Armenians outside of Armenia and I have many, many friends in the Armenian community.”

The Secretary of State noted that one of the most issues, obviously, that the U.S. really wants to try to see resolved one day is the frozen conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh: ”A way should be found to help break the impasse that has kept this struggle alive and always potentially dangerous.”
