Iran and the United States are maintaining productive contacts, and a new round of in-person talks between the two sides could take place, like the first, in the Pakistani capital, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced at a regular press briefing, APA reports.
"We remain deeply engaged in these negotiations. You heard directly this week from Vice President [J.D. Vance] and President [Donald Trump] that these negotiations are productive and ongoing," she said.
However, she did not confirm that a new round of in-person talks was already planned. "Nothing is official until you hear from us at the White House. But we feel good about the prospects for a deal," Leavitt noted. "They would very likely be in the same place as last time," the press secretary said of a possible new round of talks.
