U.S. President Donald Trump has not become the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize following the presentation of a medal to him by Venezuelan opposition politician María Corina Machado, says the declaration issued by the Nobel Committee, APA reports.
The statement notes that regardless of the fate of the medal, diploma, or monetary award, the laureate remains the sole recipient of the prize in history.
Even if the medal or diploma later becomes the property of another person, this does not alter the fact that the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to a specific individual.
It is emphasized that the Nobel Peace Prize is not revoked, and decisions regarding its awarding are final and remain in force indefinitely.
