The United Nations Security Council must be reformed, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in his farewell address to the UN General Assembly, APA reports.
He stressed the importance of reforming the Security Council, arguing that ensuring its legitimacy and effectiveness is essential to addressing the challenges facing today's world.
"The Security Council was established after the Second World War. But the world has undergone fundamental changes since then," Guterres noted.
