Washington–APA. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will pay her first official visit since assuming the office to Japan, APA reports. The choice is valued as US administration’s special attention to the bilateral relations with Japan. Hillary Clinton will discuss with Prime Minister Taro Aso and Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone the North Korean nuclear program and settlement of conflict in Afghanistan. The Secretary of State will also travel to South Korea and China. US President Barack Obama said his administration would focus on Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as Iran’s nuclear problem as a prior issue.
