Armenian doctor known as Dr. Death in USA lost the elections

Washington–APA. Armenian-American doctor Jack Kevorkian known in the United States as Dr. Death lost the elections to Congress. Independent candidate running for the US Congress from the Detroit Electoral Congressional District gained only 2.7 percent of votes. His rival Democrat candidate Gary Peters won the elections in this district. 80-year old Kevorkian accused US political system in corruption and said he would never join the elections.
Kevorkian is an active supporter of euthanasia and advocates for legalization of this assisted-suicide method. He assisted to 130 seriously ill patients in suicides in 1990-1998. The Armenian doctor was officially charged in 1999 when police got the videotape of voluntary euthanasia of 52-year old Thomas York. He was imprisoned for 8 years and released in 2007.
