The U.S President announced the new strategy of Iraq, APA reports. The new strategy considers sending 21,500 extra US troops to Iraq. 17,500 troops will be dislocated in Baghdad and 4,000 in violence-wracked Al-Anbar province. If the U.S increases the military contingent in Iraq, it is not still known how long the soldiers will stay in the territory. The increase of military contingent in Iraq will begin from January 15. The cost of the new troop increase would be around $5.6bn. But is not known, whether the Democrats will support the new strategy. New strategy considers pressure on Nuri-el-Maliki government. Washington will impose pressure on Iraq government to provide the participation of Sunnis in the political processes, admission of new oil law, and mitigation of law prohibiting the participation of the former BAAS members in socio-political life of the country. President declared that if the Iraqi government does not follow through on its promises, it will lose the support of the American people, and it will lose the support of the Iraqi people," Bush said. Besides, there is also an item which considers allocating $10bn for Iraq. He accused Iran and Syria of allowing use of their territory for terrorists and insurgents to move in and out of Iraq in his speech. The president called for Saudi Arabia, Jordan to support Iraq government. Though the strategy also included an item about Turkey-Iraq borders, Washington did not clarified PKK policy. /APA/
