US Delegation Visits Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan

Baku-APA. The U.S. State Department says a delegation of officials led by Assistant Secretary Robert Blake will visit Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan this week for talks on regional issues, APA reports quoting voanews.com website.
A statement says that while in the Turkmen capital, Ashgabat, Wednesday, Blake will meet with government officials, business leaders and civil society representatives.
The U.S. delegation also will visit the Uzbek capital, Tashkent. The statement says Blake will meet with government officials and civil society representatives, while officials from leading U.S. companies will attend an Uzbekistan-U.S. business forum.
Washington launched annual bilateral consultations with Central Asian nations in 2009. Its aim is to discuss the full spectrum of relations, including strategic cooperation, human rights, economic issues and regional challenges.
