Baku-APA. A doctor has been shot at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the U.S. city of Baltimore, Maryland, and the suspect is holed up inside the building, local reports on Thursday said, APA reports quoting news,xinhuanet.com website.
The incident happened at about 11:15 a.m. EDT. The doctor was said to be in critical condition, and the building was being evacuated, according to the MSNBC.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi was quoted by local WBAL-TV, an NBC affiliate, as saying "the suspect has barricaded himself in a room." It wasn’t immediately known if anyone was in the room with the suspected shooter.
Police tactical units have responded to the scene.
