Santiago – APA. Billionaire Sebastian Pinera won Chile’s presidential election, APA reports. The electoral bodies that counted 60 percent of the votes say that Pinera got 51.8 percent of the votes, Eduardo Frei of the ruling leftist coalition 48.1 percent of the votes. Sebastian Pinera will be the first president of Chile representing the right within the past two decades. The first round of the presidential elections was held on December 13. Pinera will succeed the popular President Michelle Bachelet, who was forbidden by the constitution to serve consecutive terms.
Sebastian Pinera participated in the presidential elections in 2005, but was defeated by the incumbent president Michelle Bachelet.
