Next round of American-Egyptian strategic dialogue to begin in Washington tomorrow

Baku. Ibad Bagirov â€“ APA. Next round of American-Egyptian strategic dialogue will be held in Washington on Wednesday. Foreign Minister of Egypt Vafa Basim and US Deputy Secretary of State for political affairs William Brinz will lead the negotiations, APA reports quoting the Egyptian newspapers. Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Hisam Zaki told journalists that the new round of the dialogue will include several meetings and discussion of the issues. The US and Egyptian officials will evaluate the bilateral relations between the countries and discuss regional problems, Middle East, Afghanistan, prevention of proliferation of nuclear weapons, African problems, as well as situation in Sudan. The Egyptian delegation will also meet with the US State Department officials and Congressmen. Last strategic dialogue between the United States and Egypt was held in June, 2009 during the visit of the US President to Egypt.
