23 die in South African bus crash

Baku – APA. A bus crash in South Africa has killed 23 people and critically injured at least ten more, APA reports quoting “ABC Newsâ€.
It is believed the driver of the bus fell asleep at the wheel and veered off the road about 150 kilometres from Cape Town.
He survived and will face criminal charges.
However, 19 of his passengers died at the scene while another 4 people died on the way to hospital.
The bus was reportedly overloaded had previously been ordered off the road because of safety problems.
The crash highlights South Africa’s poor road transport record.
The country has undertaken a massive upgrade of the road system as it prepares for next month’s World Cup.
