Specific weight of orders related to domestic tourism in Azerbaijan was 23% last year
State Statistical Committee says that during this period hotel vouchers sold to population was AZN 25.8 mln. The hotel vouchers sold to Azerbaijani citizens who want to travel outside the country made AZN 19.8 mln (specific weight – 76.7%), hotel vouchers sold to foreign country citizens who want to travel Azerbaijan – AZN 4.3 mln, hotel vouchers sold to Azerbaijani citizens who want to travel inside the country – AZN 1.7 mln (specific weight – 6.6%).
“The number of served tourists rose 10.2 mln to 69.9 mln compared to a year ago, number of tour-days soared 75.1 mln to 458.6 mln. Number of foreign tourists visiting Azerbaijan via tourism enterprises rose 1.5% to 12.1 mln. Number of Azerbaijani citizens sent to foreign countries increased by 27.6% to 44.7 mln, Azerbaijani citizens sent for travel inside the country – 3% to 13.1 mln. Number of employees working at these enterprises rose 1.8% to 1,418. Average monthly wages of employees rose AZN 24 to AZN 326â€, said the committee.
