Baku – APA. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has viewed conditions created at a new education block of school No. 32 in Nizami district, Baku.
The head of state was informed of renovation and reconstruction work carried out in the school. Built in 1963, the school was repaired several years ago, its material and technical resources were strengthened. But the large number of pupils necessitated the building of an additional block.
The new block of the 1150-seat school has 40 classrooms capable of holding up to 800 pupils. All classrooms are supplied with necessary teaching equipment.
The head of state was informed that first grade pupils of the school would be presented with schoolbags and other supplies.
President Aliyev also viewed conditions created at a new education block of school No. 12 in Nizami district, Baku.
Baku mayor Hajibala Abutalibov informed the head of state that the school, which had functioned since 1974, was overhauled a few years ago. But the increasing population density in the area boosted the growth of the number of pupils, necessitating the building of an additional block for the 960-seat school.
The new block of the school has 18 classrooms capable of holding up to 432 pupils.
