The economic development and political stability in Azerbaijan, as well as the work done in the country to ensure human rights protection leads to an increase in the number of foreign nationals coming to the country, Chief of the State Migration Service, II rank migration service counselor Firudin Nabiyev said on Wednesday.
He made remarks while addressing a meeting with members of the Caspian-European Integration Business Club, APA reported.
“Thanks to prestigious events being held in Azerbaijan, the number of foreign nationals wishing to come to the country for the purpose of investing and living or simply as tourists began to grow day by day,” Nabiyev said.
He stressed the importance of ASAN Visa system aimed at the simplification of the travel of foreign nationals to Azerbaijan.
“Upon the application of the ASAN Visa system, the statistics shows that the number of foreigners traveling to Azerbaijan has increased by five or ten times,” he added.
