Minister: "The number of students who choose the teaching as a profession has increased tenfoldâ€

Baku. Konul Kamilgizi-APA. The number of students scored high points and chosen pedagogical professions increased tenfold.

Recently, as a result of purposeful activities, the number of graduates with high points who choose the teaching as a profession has increased considerably, said Education minister Mikayil Jabbarov in his interview to APA.

The minister noted that in the last three years, 300 students with 500 points chosen the teaching in the first line got 100 manats scholarship.

According to him, results of sociological survey among students show that they have chosen this saint, honored and responsible profession well-judged: “70-80 percent of the students participated at the survey noted that they love the profession of teaching. Today, admissions of teachers are realized with a centralized system. We want to increase the weight of teaching, have high knowledge in this area, as well as attract well educated young generations to the pedagogical education. As you know an admission to a teacher position is realized electronically. This year 3346 teacher positions have been brought to the competition. The record number-31779 electronic applications were confirmed up today. 2456 teachers were admitted to the teacher positions.
